Day Six, Seven, and Eight

This weekend was really busy for me and I didn't have the time to make an entry for each individual picture. So I've combined the days into one entry but rest assured that these pictures where taken on separate days. From top to bottom, the pictures are placed in chronological order. Day Six's picture is of a part of my bookshelf. I touched it up a bit so make the colors a bit more exaggerated. On Day Seven, a group of us went a cemetery out in the middle of nowhere for some cheap thrills. I'm more or less a skeptic when it comes to ghosts and pair that up with the fact that I was taking pictures the whole time probably made me a killjoy to have around. Still, I would say it was worth it. Finally there is Day Eight's picture which was taken today....the word uniformity comes to mind :)

Day Five

I just want to take time out right now to damn everyone and their stupid New Year's resolutions. What used to be an empty gym has now been filled with an obscene amount of people (so much so that I now have to wait twenty minutes just to grab a treadmill). I'm hoping that it will clear out by February though as that's when people usually chuck their resolutions out the window. Snowed again today....I tried to capture it but I don't think you can see it all to well unless you are looking for it :)

Day Four

Other than going to class, I pretty much spent most of my day in bed (and not for the good reason). I'm getting really behind on all my readings for all my classes so I just laid out and spent the day highlighting all my books. I thought I was going to have to resort to taking a picture of something in my bed room. However, I did get out at the last minute to go over to the girl's apartment to take a break from studying and along the way came across this image. I'm pretty sure it's the agricultural department's greenhouses but they never seem to grow anything there. The contrast with the light and dark to make for pretty cool picture though :)

Day Three

This town pretty much has it's own biosphere. As if we didn't already have enough snow, it snowed again today. I don't even remember the forecast calling for it but the weather here is so damn fickle that it would not surprise me if it was not there to begin with. So to celebrate this fact I'm posting a snowy picture :)

Day Two

I don't really like the lighting in this picture....it's too drab and makes me desperately wish I had photoshop so I could lighten it up a bit without distorting the picture. Alwell....work with what you can. This was shot at the recreation center on campus that Katie, Ayleice, and I went to to play racquetball. Eventually we switched out to some good ol' kicking the ball back and forth. Other than fearing for my life when Katie served the ball (in racquetball), I had a pretty good time :)

Day One

Today we all drove up to Iowa for some good food at the Junction Cafe in Bedford. It's about a twenty minute drive north from campus but well worth it. I'd recommend the strawberry milkshake :)
